Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
Pumpkin puree (plain, unsweetened) 1 cup
Natural peanut butter (xylitol-free) 1/2 cup
Rolled oats 2 to 2 1/2 cups
Ground flaxseed or chia seeds 2 tablespoons
Ground cinnamon (optional) 1 teaspoon
Water (as needed) 1–2 tablespoons

Instructions

  • Mix the base
Add pumpkin puree and peanut butter to a bowl. Stir until smooth and creamy with no lumps.

  • Add the dry ingredients
Mix in 2 cups of oats, flaxseed or chia, and cinnamon if using. The dough should look thick and scoopable.

  • Adjust the texture
If sticky, add oats a little at a time. If crumbly, add water one tablespoon at a time until rollable.

  • Roll the treats
Scoop about one tablespoon and roll into balls. Size them from marble to walnut based on your dog.

  • Optional oat coating
Roll balls in finely ground oats for a clean finish. This helps reduce stickiness on hands.

  • Chill to set
Place balls on a lined tray and chill for 30 minutes. Move to storage once firm.
