Sweet Potato & Salmon Meatloaf Dog Food Recipe

Ingredients

Canned wild salmon (bones ok) 1 lb
Mashed cooked sweet potato 1 cup
Eggs 2 large
Chopped green beans 1/2 cup
Chopped parsley 1/4 cup
Ground chia or flaxseed 2 tbsp
Olive oil or salmon oil 1 tbsp
Water (as needed) 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment.

  2. Mix salmon, sweet potato, eggs, green beans, parsley, and chia/flax. Add water slowly if the mixture seems too dry.

  3. Press the mixture into the loaf pan and smooth the top.

  4. Bake 35–45 minutes, until firm and lightly golden. Internal temp should reach 165°F.

  5. Cool completely before slicing so it holds together.

  6. Serve as a full meal or a topper for kibble.
    Variations:

 

  • Swap green beans for peas or zucchini

  • Add 1/2 tsp dog-safe fish oil after cooking for joint support
