Homemade Christmas Cookies

Make these Homemade Christmas Cookies for your dog using simple, healthy ingredients. A festive, yummy treat perfect for holiday cheer and safe doggy snacking.

Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
Whole wheat flour 2 cups (250g)
Unsweetened peanut butter 1/2 cup (120g)
Unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup (120g)
Egg 1
Water 1/4 cup (60ml)
Cinnamon Pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper to keep the cookies from sticking.

  2. Whisk 2 cups of whole wheat flour and a pinch of cinnamon in a large bowl.

  3. In another bowl, mix peanut butter, applesauce, the egg, and water until smooth and creamy.

  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones a little at a time. Stir until a soft dough forms. Add a sprinkle of flour if the dough is sticky.

  5. Lightly flour your counter and roll the dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

  6. Cut out cute Christmas shapes with cookie cutters and place them on your baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

  8. Let the cookies cool fully on a wire rack before treat time.
Safety Note: Make sure your peanut butter is xylitol-free, as xylitol is dangerous for dogs.
