Make this yummy Dog Treats Recipe using chicken broth, oats, and peanut butter. Simple, healthy, and homemade treats your pup will love.

Ingredients

Ingredient Amount
Chicken broth (low-sodium, no onion/garlic) 1 cup
Honey 2 tablespoons
Peanut butter (unsweetened, xylitol-free) 8 tablespoons
Rolled oats 2/3 cup
Whole wheat flour 2 cups

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment to prevent sticking.

2. Mix the Wet Ingredients

Whisk the chicken broth, honey, and peanut butter until smooth. If the peanut butter is thick, warm it for a few seconds so it blends easily.

3. Add the Dry Ingredients

Stir in the rolled oats. Slowly add the whole wheat flour until a soft dough forms. Add more broth or flour if needed.

4. Roll and Cut

Flour your counter lightly and roll the dough to 1/4–1/3 inch thick. Cut out shapes and place them on the baking sheet with space in between.

5. Bake

Bake 15–17 minutes or until golden brown. For a crunchier texture, let the treats cool inside the turned-off oven for 10 minutes.

6. Cool and Store

Place treats on a cooling rack until fully cooled. Store at room temperature for 1 week, in the fridge for 2 weeks, or freeze for 3 months.
