Homemade dog snack pumpkin oatmeal sticks on a parchment-lined baking tray with pumpkin puree and oats.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Pure pumpkin puree (unsweetened, no spices) | 1 cup |
| Oat flour (or finely blended oats) | 2 cups |
| Unsweetened applesauce | ½ cup |
| Natural peanut butter (xylitol-free) | 1 tablespoon |
| Ground cinnamon (optional) | ½ teaspoon |
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
In a medium bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, applesauce, and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
Stir in the oat flour and cinnamon (if using). The dough should be thick but slightly sticky — add more oat flour if needed.
Roll the dough into sticks about 4–5 inches long and ½ inch thick.
Place on the sheet with a little space between each one.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the edges turn golden brown and the sticks feel firm.
Cool completely on a wire rack before letting your dog enjoy one.
